the BAG, a Bag for All Girls
The Women 4 Women Collective was started by Desiree Rantala in March of 2024 to help women and girls in need, in Manitoba, Canada.
With sustainability in mind, fostering upcycling is an important focus when it comes to the BAG, a Bag for All Girls. The beautiful balance of incorporating re-purposed previously loved items with new donations to create something new. Desiree believe's that every woman and girl should have something of their own and a bag is a powerful reinforcement of that. Whether it's a bag to support a woman during her first job interview, or for a young girl to pack her things on the way to school, or for a woman to house her items as she flees to a new place to call home. The items in every BAG have been carefully curated and thought out to provide both dignity and confidence while providing every day essentials that come along with womanhood.
All BAGs are packed with love and care in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Please consider volunteering or donating.
The Process
The Women 4 Women Collective carefully collects and curates items for packing and distribution, to ensure that each BAG delivered to women and girls in Manitoba is given with the upmost care, love and respect.
Receive
The W4W Collective vets donations that are suitable for intake. Each item is checked for quality and cleanliness.
Pack
Each BAG is carefully packed and put together by a W4W volunteer and is personally signed.
Distribute
Local resource centres and organizations are contacted, BAGs are delivered. Establishments take care of distribution.

W4W gladly accepts both new and gently used items. Each BAG includes 10 products, all of which are welcome to be brand new. However, there are a few items that may be gently used.

The Goal
Our goal is to create 100 BAGs by the end of 2025. Our dream goal is to create 1000 BAGs!
